Zoey

You were only 14 pounds, but you carried a love larger than the world. From the very first light of morning, when you greeted me with kisses, to the last moment at night when you curled close and said goodnight in your own way, you were my joy, my comfort, my constant. You followed me through every room, every season, every trial, never once asking for anything but my presence. Your spirit was fierce and clever—you jumped to open latch doors with your teeth just to reach me. Even when blindness came, love still guided you straight to me, because I was your compass, and you were mine. No obstacle ever kept you from my side. You were, and always will be, my little munchkin girl. Now you can see all the beautiful flowers in heaven, say hi to Kenya and Kacey for me. You are a good girl, I will see you again and I love you.
